What we store
If you create an account, we store your email address and a salted hash of your
password — never the password itself. Signing in sets one session cookie
(mq_session) that keeps you logged in for up to 30 days of activity.
Everything you do here is stored so the product works: your saved quotes, reading progress and goals, notification preferences, article comments, and community space posts. Joining the early-access list stores your email so we can send launch updates. Writing through the contact form stores your name, email, and message in our team inbox.
What we never do
No advertising trackers, no analytics fingerprinting, no selling or renting your data to anyone. Your email is used for the service you asked for — account emails, reset links, and list updates — and nothing else.
Who handles your data
The site runs on Cloudflare (hosting and database). Account emails are delivered through Resend. Article imagery loads from Unsplash and typefaces from Google Fonts, so those providers see routine web requests when you visit. Nobody else receives your data.
Your rights
You can correct your details, export what we hold, or ask for deletion at any time — write to us through the contact form and we will act on it within a few days. Signing out ends your session immediately.
Security
Passwords are salted and hashed, sessions are random tokens stored as hashes, and password resets use single-use time-limited links. No system is perfect; if you spot a problem, tell us through the contact form.
